The Munich-based brand has been growing significantly across the European market, selling direct to consumer (D2C), to retail partners (B2B), and via Amazon.
With this expansion, the team at Hydraid knew they needed a partner that is capable of handling a multichannel set up that crosses borders and will continue to grow. That’s when they turned to Hive.

Hydraid keeps branding consistent across channels with custom packaging
Hydraid keeps their unboxing experience exciting by using custom packaging sourced by Hive. They can easily source packaging by submitting a request in the Hive App, and the Hive team takes care of the rest. And when custom packaging is running low, Hydraid receives an automated restocking reminder, ensuring that their packages always wow their customers.
Additionally, Hydraid uses both Amazon’s Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) schemes. For their FBM orders, Hydraid’s Amazon volume is synced automatically to Hive and fulfilled alongside their Shopify orders. This means they can use their custom packaging and keep a consistent brand experience.
Hydraid offers multiple delivery options to Austria
With demand for Hydraid growing, the team decided to expand their D2C business to Austria. With Hive on their side, the Hydraid team can offer their Austrian customers multiple shipping options. Giving customers their choice of carrier helps reduce cart abandonment and lets them find the option that works best for them.
With Hive, Hydraid has been able to implement DPD AT and the local carrier Post AT. This means Hydraid customers in Austria can get the local delivery experience.
A high profile partnership with Swiss-Ski means Hydraid sets up logistics to Switzerland
Last year, the Hydraid team had a big announcement: they became an official supplier to Swiss-Ski, the winter sports federation for Switzerland. A move that will surely foster sales in Switzerland. But with complex import systems, sending large amounts of products to Switzerland from Germany is no easy feat. Luckily Hive had a solution.
Thanks to Hive’s network of partners, Hydraid can easily send products across the border. Hive takes the Hydraid products directly to the Swiss border, then Hive partner, MeinEinkauf, handles the import. After this, the products are sent via local carrier Swiss Post to the end destination. This process means that products are still delivered in a timely manner and aren’t held up at customs.
Batch tracking makes handling expiry dates simple
Being a supplements brand, it is important that the Hydraid team can track expiry dates. With Hive, they have access to comprehensive batch management, meaning they can keep an eye on expiry dates and send out batches in the optimal order.

A future growing together
What’s next for Hive and Hydraid? This year Hydraid has already released one new SKU and is looking to expand their product range further in the coming months.
“When we released our new SKU this year we had a huge volume come in over the weekend. But thanks to Hive’s fulfillment team we had everything fulfilled by Tuesday. This meant lots of happy customers for us.” – Nico.
